FBM Talks: Business & Beyond. The Faculty of Business and Management launches its own podcast

The Faculty of Business and Management at Brno University of Technology is launching a new podcast, FBM Talks: Business & Beyond. This new interview series opens up topics that shape today’s world of business, innovation, and social development. The podcast builds on the faculty’s long-term direction, which connects education, research, entrepreneurship, and cooperation with practice.
The podcast subtitle, “On innovation, business, and people”, is no coincidence. People—their ideas, experience, and ability to create positive change—are at the heart of each episode. Listeners can look forward to conversations with students, alumni, academics, entrepreneurs, and faculty partners who bring inspiring stories and perspectives on the current challenges of today’s world.
“We want to show that entrepreneurship is not only about numbers and companies. It is about innovation, cooperation, the courage to change things for the better, and above all about the people behind these changes. For us, the podcast is another way to share these stories and offer inspiration,” says Robert Zich, the initiator of the podcast idea.

The first three episodes
The opening series presents three topics that clearly illustrate the wide range of activities at the Faculty of Business and Management.
Knowledge transfer: When ideas do not stay behind university walls
The first episode focuses on knowledge transfer and cooperation between the university and practice. The guests discuss how innovations emerge, what role students, academics, and companies play in this process, and why the ability to transfer knowledge into the real world is one of the important parts of the mission of a modern university.
Guests: doc. Ing. Vítek Chlebovský, Ph.D., and Doc. Ing. Pavla Marciánová, Ph.D.
Available on Spotify:

Team Entrepreneurship and Team Leadership: Entrepreneurship as a team discipline
The second episode introduces the Team Entrepreneurship approach, which the Faculty of Business and Management has been developing over the long term through the ESBD study programme and other activities focused on entrepreneurship. The conversation explores why teamwork, leadership, and the ability to jointly create new opportunities are becoming increasingly important competencies for the future.
Guests: Marianne Murto and Mona Räsänen, Finnish company Mind Me Solutions Oy (https://www.mindmesolutions.com/)
Release: 07/2026

Sportera: From a student project to their own startup
The third episode tells the story of Sportera, a startup that was founded at the Faculty of Business and Management of Brno University of Technology. Its founders share their experience with developing their own entrepreneurial project, the challenges faced by early-stage companies, and the role the university environment played in their journey.
Guests: Adam Sypták, Dan Doupovec, and Stanislav Macák, BUT startup Sportera Team s.r.o.
Release: 08/2026
