13th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON APPLIED ECONOMICS CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN ECONOMY
On 26 and 27 June 2025, the 13th International Scientific Conference ‘Contemporary Issues in Economy’ took place. The conference was organized by the Institute of Economic Research (Poland), Polish Economic Society Branch in Toruń, Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland) and Faculty of Management and Economics, Gdańsk University of Technology (Poland). Dr hab.Adam P. Balcerzak, prof. UWM was the main representative of the organisational consortium. The Faculty of Business and Management was a proud scientific partner of the conference.
On behalf of the Faculty of Business and Management, Brno University of Technology, prof. Ing. Marek Zinecker, Ph.D., doc. Ing. Michal Karas, Ph.D., Ing. Nikola Sobotková and Ing. Petr-Lev Bařina presented their research papers.
The main topic of the conference was related to macroeconomic and microeconomic challenges resulting from the transformation taking place at the global level. Its elements are the reorganization of traditional ways of doing business, the emergence of highly dynamic global markets, new conditions on labour markets and the emergence of completely new areas of economic activity.
On this occasion, Prof. Zinecker stressed the importance of cooperation in organising international scientific conferences, which create a unique environment for the exchange of ideas, networking and the establishment of international research teams.
